  1. Apalachicola variant of phidippus regius are known for their large size.  Maybe this is owed to their large appetite. Not all Apalachicola variant are large but in general. Alot of males and females are known to have a banded carapace or "white cheeks" as some may also call it. 

Picture are examples only. These gals are large sized and in sub-adult stage. 

Sling= still eating fruit flies. The first few molts. 

Juvenile = transition to flies or small crickets. No longer eating Hydei or melanogaster. Easily to identify males or females in p regal.  

Sub-adult = the 2nd to last molt before becoming sexualy mature.
